Where is Ishant Sharma

Don't you think that we all are missing Ishant Sharma.

Slim, tall and bubbly kind of guy. We all remember that ball which took the wicket of Ricky Ponting.

Ishant ... where are you ?

Thursday, March 27, 2008

I am sure ... Kumble was missing his ace pace machine, Ishant Sharma when South African Batsman were throwing their bats all around the park ... What do you think guys ... just post your comments ...

I never saw in past few months that Indian bowling attack was so helpless and so ordinary ... I must say they were starving wickets. Their body language was totally changed so down and dull. I think thats the magic of controversy which made them so dangerous with killing instinct.

Lets hope that Indian batsman can perform and save the follow on first and then give the lead. If this will happen than this test match will be end in drawn.

"I don't think I need to build strong muscles"

New Delhi (PTI): Pace sensation Ishant Sharma on wednesday refused to follow the advise of former Australian coach John Buchanan that he needed to "build muscles" so that his wiry frame could sustain pressures of international cricket.

"I don't think I need to build strong muscles. I feel I am completely fit," Sharma said on the sidelines of a function here.Buchanan, who will coach Sharma in the Kolkata IPL team, had said that the gangling bowler should concentrate on building muscles to withstand the vigours and pressure of excessive bowling.

The towering bowler also declared himself fit for the South African series, saying he had recovered from his finger injury, which prevented him playing in the second final of the CB tri-series in Australia."I am fit now," he said replying to a query on his recovery from injury but refused to elaborate because of BCCI's gag order.

However, his coach Shravan Kumar confidently declared that the young pacer was fit to play in the upcoming South African Test series."He has recovered from his injury and we hope that he will play Test series against South Africa. Though he has to undergo a fitness test and final decision (on his fitness) will be taken only after that," Kumar said.

Selectors will meet in Bangalore on March 17 to pick the team for the first Test match, beginning in Chennai on March 26.

"He is dangerous ... "

Well we are not talking about any explosive here ... we are talking about Ishant Sharma ... and those words came from non-other than Ricky Ponting ... In his very first tour of Australia ... he came back home with praise of all cricket guru ... everyone is saying he is the future of Indian pace (at last now we can call) attack ... He delivered the fastest ball (153.0 kph) ever delivered by any Indian Cricket pace bowler after Ashish Nehra (against Zimbabwe in 2003 world cup, 149.7 kph).

Whenever any sportsman get in fame ... media and all guru of respective game started to compare with the legends. Sachin was compared with Sir Donald Bradman and this time Ishant compared with the most gentle and respected fast bowler of cricket world ... Javagal Srinath, someone even compared Ishant to Curtly Ambrose. But this is all the matter when a new kid come to the block.

So at last country which was famous for the top batsman and spinner, got a sheer pace bowler as well. The best thing about Ishant is ... he is a very quick learner and composed ... he come to his run up with some tricks and deliver them ... he again go back to the run up with some tricks and delivered ... he again do the same thing ... and at last batsman give up and throw his wicket to him ... He is really a big discovery for Indian cricket in this down under tour ...

One over suggested by Virendra Sehwag ... accepted by Skipper and delivered by Ishant Sharma change whole India tour ... Ishant Sharma pick the important brick i.e., skipper Ricky Ponting from the Australian Cricket Fort and later on result came ... India won the test match on world fastest pitch ... no one even think about it ...
